Definitions of key terms of this Agreement are summarised below:
- Where Cbeg means Cornerstone Business and Economic Group.
2.Where GDPR means General Data Protection Regulations.
- Where services mean the services provided by Cbeg or between members.
- Group Ambassador to the Membership Director are the currently designated roles or their equivalents.
Terms & Conditions
By entering our websites, obtaining membership status of any level with Cbeg, or attending any Cbeg event(Meaning: online, physical, commercial project, social or charity), you agree to our Terms and Conditions of use and sale.
1.0 Unless otherwise agreed in writing with Cbeg your agreement with Cbeg will always include, at a minimum, the Terms and Conditions set out in this document.
1.1 By becoming a member of Cbeg or attending any Cbeg event, you agree to accept these Terms and Conditions.
1.2 Cbeg is constantly innovating in order to provide the best possible experience for its members. You acknowledge and agree that the form and nature of the services which Cbeg provides may change from time to time without prior notice to you.
Use of The services by you or your organisation
2.0 Our membership offering, nor our website or any of the services and facilities provided by our website cannot be used for any commercial gain from any non-member of Cbeg. You agree by entering this site you accept our terms and conditions of use.
2.1 In order to access certain Services, you may be required to provide information about yourself (such as identification or contact details) as part of the registration process for the Service, or as part of your continued use of the Services. You agree that any registration information you give to Cbeg will always be accurate, correct and up to date. As set out in our GDPR and Privacy Policy in clause 11.0 of these terms and conditions.
2.2 You agree that you will not engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the Services, the reputation, or otherwise hinders the success of Cbeg and your fellow members.
2.3 You agree that you are solely responsible for any products, services, discounts, rewards or incentives that you have advertised and resulted in a sale by you to any type of consumer and agree that Cbeg has no responsibility to you or to any third party for any breach of your obligations under these Terms and Conditions for the consequences including any loss or damage which Cbeg may suffer of any such breach.
2.4 You understand that all information (such as data files, written text, computer software, music, audio files or other sounds, photographs, videos or other images) which you may have access to as part of, or through your use of, the Services are the sole responsibility of the person from which such content originated. All such information is referred to as the “Content”.
2.5 You agree that you are solely responsible for and that Cbeg has no responsibility to you or to any third party for any Content that you create, transmit or display while using the Services and for the consequences of your actions including any loss or damage which Cbeg may suffer by doing so.
2.6 You retain copyright and any other rights you already hold in the content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services. By submitting, posting or displaying the content you give Cbeg a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute any Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services. This license is for the sole purpose of enabling Cbeg to display, distribute and promote the Services and may be revoked for certain Services as defined in the Additional Terms of those Services.
2.7 You agree that this license includes a right for Cbeg to make such Content available to other companies, organisations or individuals with whom Cbeg have relationships for the provision of syndicated services, and to use such Content in connection with the provision of those services.
2.8 You understand that Cbeg, in performing the required technical steps to provide the Services to our users, may
(a) transmit or distribute your Content over various public networks and in various media; and
(b) make such changes to your all types of content as are necessary to conform and adapt that Content to the technical requirements of connecting networks, devices, services or media.
(c) that this content may continue to be distributed, transmitted or adapted during and following your membership with Cbeg.
You agree that this license shall permit Cbeg to take these actions.
2.9 You confirm and warrant to Cbeg that you have all the rights, power and authority necessary to grant the above.
Return and Refund Policy
3.0 The Cbeg Return and Refund Policy can be found here –
3.1 Unless otherwise instructed by you in writing, all services and personal data will continue and be displayed on your behalf, usually via a LinkedIn profile.
3.2 You understand Cbeg provides no guarantees of sale or profit resulting from or in any shape or form by using any of the services provided and that it is your sole responsibility to utilise the services provided by Cbeg as shown to you and through the Members Welcome Pack to receive the best possible result. It is your responsibility if you are not sure or want to know how to better utilise services to approach Cbeg to get support.
Use of Your Email Address
4.0 You agree to give Cbeg the right to add your email address to the Cbeg database to use solely to distribute our services and information and any related business or associate information of Cbeg that Cbeg does not consider spam. As set out in our GDPR and Privacy Policy in clause 11.0 of these terms and conditions.
4.1 By signing the application form or by ticking any box required within an online application of this site and by viewing any pages in this site as our terms of use you agree to all the above terms & conditions.
4.2 Attendees of Cbeg including all special events, networking events and any event, Projects, or gathering of business owners, and members of Cbeg, or organised by Cbeg, agree to these Terms and Conditions by attending these events.
4.3 You agree that you will not mark any Cbeg emails as spam with your mail provider.
4.4 As Cbeg will use email to communicate important business critical information, if you unsubscribe from Cbeg emails during your membership term you may compromise your membership rights and you cannot hold Cbeg responsible or liable for losses as result your action to unsubscribe .
Membership Enrolment
5.0 You agree that each business or person must purchase a membership for each business owner or person within that or each organisation that is to attend any Cbeg event, whether online or in-person. This includes franchise and licensed owners of any organisation.
5.1 Whilst Cbeg enters into corporate memberships (details upon request) which cover multiple individuals. Each organisation must enter into a membership contract by individual corporate member to use the services offered by Cbeg unless given written notice of approval from Cbeg.
5.2 The membership fee may increase or change at the sole discretion of Cbeg, outside of your initial term. Notice shall be given of a minimum 30 days.
5.3 We reserve the right to refuse membership to any business, individual or organisation we feel does not meet our qualifying policies or does not operate in the spirit of the Cbeg culture.
5.4 You agree that you were given all the information required to make an informed decision about entering into an agreement with Cbeg. This being said, Cbeg provides a 14-day cooling off period, for change of mind. For clarity, you have until close of business the following day? to email [email protected] No other forms of notice will be accepted. Is this trying to say that written notice is required and needs to be sent to admin@@cbe-group.co.uk.
5.5 You must email [email protected] to terminate your agreement within the Cooling-Off period. unless otherwise agreed, no other forms of contact will be accepted. Your first payment will not be refunded.
5.6 Your first payment will be processed immediately upon signing of this agreement. If you have paid an upfront membership e.g., 12 months in advance, Cbeg will refund the difference between the upfront payment and the first month of payment equivalent without any discounts. If you have chosen to pay by monthly instalments, your first month’s payment, and only payment, will not be refunded.
5.7 Exercising your cooling off rights under this agreement, does not terminate the terms of this contract.
Payment Terms
6.0 Billing: The credit card or bank details that you provide upon registering for an event or becoming a member will be automatically and immediately billed. All currency references are in GB Pounds. Please note, payments for the membership are billed annually and/ or monthly and is non-refundable.
6.1 Cancellation: If you cancel your membership with Cbeg, you will no longer have access to any content or services. Your Information will be held as in line with our GDPR Retention, and Privacy Policy.
6.2 Cancellation: Should you elect to discontinue your membership with Cbeg (after the initial minimum Contract Term), written notice is required to cease payments. Payments will be ceased 30 days after written notice was received. Written notice is required by email to [email protected]. No other forms of communication methods are accepted.
6.3 Your membership may be terminated for any reason, without limitation, if you have violated or acted inconsistently with the letter or spirit of these Terms and Conditions. Any contracts, verbal or written or assumed, will be terminated as well. Paid accounts that are terminated will not be refunded. The remaining term of your contract will be charged in full, if this contract is terminated for breach of contract.
6.4 If your credit card is invalid or rejected for more than 30-days for any reason, your membership may be cancelled, and all the information contained within will be deleted permanently. If this falls within the term of your agreement, you are required to pay out in full, the remaining balance of your term. We accept no liability for information that is deleted due to an invalid credit card.
6.5 The Membership Contract Term is established in the sign-up offer.
6.6 The Early Bird Meeting Fee Payment is to assist the leadership teams in coordinating the meeting. Numbers are often required to be confirmed with venues prior to the event. The Early Bird price ends at 8am (GMT) the day prior to all networking meetings. We may change the pricing of meetings at any time, and the Early Bird conditions at our sole discretion.
6.7 Charges that have failed to process against your nominated credit card will attempt to re-charge your card on a daily basis. If your credit card continues to fail, the system will attempt to charge other credit cards previously added by you for other purchases that are on your membership file. You accept that any credit cards held on file by Cbeg can be charged for membership fees and meeting fees, or any other charges we consider you owe to Cbeg.
6.8 The costs associated with failed payments will be passed onto the cardholder without notice.
6.9 A £10 + transaction cost and tax card fail charge will be passed on for all late payments where manual intervention is required to receive payment. This charge will occur for each and every instance where manual follow up is required. This may be done without notice. A Tax Invoice will be issued upon successful payment.
6.10 Cbeg may charge any credit card on file for any meeting not paid for that was attended.
6.11 Cbeg may charge any card on file for any membership fees not paid for by their due date, or if another credit card on file is declined for whatever reason.
6.12 Credit card details are maintained and encrypted in the Cbeg CRM.
6.13 The Customer shall pay for all costs incurred by the Cbeg (including costs for which Cbeg may be contingently liable) in any attempt to collect any monies owed by the Customer to Cbeg under this Agreement including debt collection agent costs, repossession costs, location search costs, process server costs and solicitor costs on a solicitor/client basis.
6.14 – A £100 + tax fee will be charged should outstanding monies be referred to a debt collection agency. This fee covers the costs incurred by Cbeg in preparing the matter for collection. This fee is in addition to any fees charged by the nominated Debt Collection Agency.
6.15 All Cbeg Local Meetings may require(subject to membership level) a Meeting Fee to be paid by any attendee. The Meeting Fee covers the cost of hosting the event, booking fees, room hire fees, team costs and meals/ drinks. The Meeting Fee is payable irrespective of whether a meal is consumed/ ordered.
6.16 Members can change bookings or cancel attendance up to 24 hours prior to the meeting date. There is a £10 + Tax fee for all cancellations or changes to member bookings.
Fair Trading Policy
As a registered member of Cbeg you agree to our fair-trading policy as in section 7.0 to 7.2 of this agreement.
7.0 You agree to the best of your ability to provide the highest quality standard of work to any new customers you gain or receive by using the service of Cbeg marketing and advertising features and resources.
7.1 You agree to allow Cbeg or any representative of Cbeg full access to all information required to resolve any dispute that may arise from any consumer or customer using your service through the use of our services.
7.2 Cbeg has the right to revoke any membership that we feel is not acting in the spirit of Cbeg. You will not receive any compensation or refund of membership to any remaining component of your membership. Clause 6.3 outlines your contingent liability for this contract should your membership be revoked.
Code of Behaviour:
Members must always act in the interest of the wider community.
8.1 Members must uphold the integrity of the brand, including but not limited to their behaviour at Group, Projects and National events and in their use of both Public and Closed “Cbeg” Business social media channels and forums.
8.2 Members must uphold the reputation of the community and not take any action which could bring the community or “the Business” into disrepute.
8.3 Members should respect and value alternative viewpoints and, seek, accept and offer honest criticisms of work contracted for through introductions from other “Cbeg” Business members but at all times must avoid injuring others or their reputation or employment by false or malicious or negligent action or inaction or abuse of any kind.
8.4 Members should refrain in all Public and Closed “Cbeg” Business forums from criticism of another member or their business. Criticism, where deemed necessary, should be made privately and solely to the individual involved.
Dispute Resolution:
9.0 Disputes between members within a single Group should initially be dealt with by the Group Ambassador Team or equivalent.
9.1 Escalation of the dispute, if required, should be made through the Group Ambassador or equivalent to the Membership Director or equivalent who will refer the matter to the Membership Committee or equivalent for their deliberation.
9.2 Disputes between any member (including Ambassador Team members) and “the Business”, should be dealt with privately between the parties wherever possible.
9.3 In the absence of a resolution, issues should be referred to the Membership Committee or equivalent for arbitration and recommendation.
9.4 Final decisions remain the prerogative of the Co-Founders and Owners of “the Business”.
Indemnity and exclusion of liability
10.0 Networking is only as effective as the participants, and it is Your responsibility to ensure that Cbeg is the right fit for Your business and that You take advantage of the benefits offered by networking. Cbeg makes no representations or guarantees about potential revenue that may be generated as a result of networking.
10.1 Cbeg accepts no liability whatsoever whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), for any economic loss, loss of goodwill or reputation, or any special or indirect or consequential loss or otherwise.
10.2 In particular Cbeg accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage sustained by You or your organisation as a result, directly or indirectly arising out of the conduct of any user of the Website or any technical or other failure of the Website.
10.3 Members are expected to have sufficient existing insurance policies such as commercial property, public liability, business interruption or professional indemnity insurance.
10.4 In the event that Cbeg is found liable for any losses You suffer, that liability shall be limited to any sums paid by You in respect of Your current Membership subscription fee.
10.5 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10.6 You agree to indemnify Cbeg l in full and on demand against any loss, damage, costs or expenses which Cbeg may suffer or incur directly or indirectly as a result of Your actions during Your Membership.
10.7 Cbeg takes no responsibility nor liability for losses or damages incurred by a member(s) who directly or indirectly acted on formal or formal information’s received from another Cbeg member of as a result of participation in Cbegs events and seminars.
